Heere Smit werd geboren in 1949 te Haren (Gn)
Na het lager en voortgezet onderwijs volgde hij diverse opleidingen.
Hij was 25 jaar werkzaam in het MBO/HBO onderwijs als docent/supervisor. Daarnaast volgde hij vanaf 1971 schilderlessen bij diverse kunstenaars en instituten.
In 2006 besloot hij volledig te kiezen voor het kunstenaarschap.
Van 2006-2011 volgde hij in deeltijd de opleiding autonome beeldende kunst aan de KunstAcademie (Artez-Enschede)
Daar ontdekte hij dat er veel meer was dan schilderen. Hij richtte zich in het laatste jaar vooral op de keramiek en het tekenen.
OP dit moment verblijft hij deels in Nederland en deels in Altea La Vella (Spanje), waar hij een woon- en werkatelier heeft.
Born :16-08-1949 Haren (Gn) Education: After the Secondary School ( and a technical study) he attended the School for Social Work and a Theological study for Pastor. After having worked for several years in educational work, he chose to work on a School. He taught at various schools in Secondary and Higher Education (both in the Netherlands and Curaçao). Also he was professor/supervisor on de Christian University of Ede and Zwolle and teacher /coach / student counselor on The Graafschap College.
He attended twice a training on the University Windesheim for supervisor and he specialized in Group Supervision. Outside his work he followed from 1972 various courses in drawing and painting. In 2006 he decided to develop as a professional artist further. He followed the studie ont the University of ArtEZ Enschede (Fine Art) and graduated in 2011. He has a house with two studio's and workshop in Altea (Esp.)
It is possible to work both privately and in a small group in the studio of the guesthouse, with or without supervison. There are sleeping accommodations for two.
The price for rental of the studio is 10 euros per day. For one month 100 Euros excluding electricity.
